



A voluntary Blood Donation Camp was held at Sant
Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Junglighat, Port Blair on
September 4, 2011 in association with Andaman and Nicobar
AIDS Control Society. It was the 12th such camp organized
by Sant Nirankari Mission in Port Blair so far. Altogether
100 volunteers were registered and out of them 73 volunteers
donated their blood.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Shri Kuldeep Rai
Sharma, President, Pradesh Congress Committee, A & N Islands,
emphasized the importance of donating blood for the needy people
who at times lose their lives for want of blood. He further
mentioned that when someone is in urgent need of blood, no
questions are asked about the religion of the blood donor. Then
why is it that human beings today are divided over religion?





Shri Mahender Prasad, Ward councilor, Junglighat, assured the
Pramukh, Sant Nirankari Mandal to extend his full support to
organize any kind of social welfare activities in future.
Dr. Wazid Ali Shah, Sr. Pathologist, G.B. Pant Hospital, A &N
Islands mentioned that he had been associated with Sant
Nirankari Mission Nirankari Mission for a long time and
appreciated the good work and dedication by the Mission towards
serving humanity. He said that the initiative taken by the
Mission has resulted in large number of healthy volunteers
willing to donate blood.
Shri G.S. Tiwari, Pramukh, SNM Branch, Port Blair, welcomed
the guests and the gathering and thanked every one for having
spared their valuable time on a holiday to grace the occasion.
He specially thanked the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
