The Sant Nirankari Mission organized a blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan in Trilok Puri, Delhi on June 5, 2011 on the slogan “Let Blood flow in veins than in drains” exhorted by Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj.  Devotees from NOIDA also participated in the camp.  They all donated 239 units of blood.

The camp was inaugurated by Shri Sunil Vaidya, MLA, East Delhi. He applauded the efforts put in by the Mission in the service of society by donating blood in the period of summer when there is acute shortage of blood in general.   He hoped that other NGO’s would also emulate the Nirankari Mission in this regard.

Doctors and Staff from Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital collected the blood. They took special care to carry out pre-donating check-up to ensure that only medically eligible donors could donate the blood. Light refreshment was served to the donors by the volunteers of the Mission.

Before the inauguration a rally was organized in the area to create awareness about blood donation among the masses. Motorbikes, cars, buses and more than 50 Sewa Dal volunteers participated in this rally enthusiastically.
