On April 23, 2011, saints from the Sant Nirankari Mission Victoria Branch in Canada participated in a blood donation campaign at the local Canadian Blood Services clinic. This campaign coincided with Manav Ekta Divas on April 24, which commemorates the supreme sacrifice of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji Maharaj, to uphold the ideals of truth, peace, tolerance and non-violence.  In the words of His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, “Human blood should flow in the veins and not in drains.”

The Victoria branch is a member of the “Partners for Life” programme with the Canadian Blood Services, and this campaign alone recorded a total of 10 donors, with an additional 6 participants to donate in the following week.

In addition to participating blood donation campaigns, the Victoria branch continuously strives to make a difference in the local community, including organizing food and clothing donations throughout the year.
