The Sant Nirankari Mission in Australia has been
organising blood donation camps to serve humanity for over
three decades. In continuation of this noble cause a blood
donation camp was organized in coordination with the
Australian Red Cross Blood Services (ARCBS) at the Nirankari
Satsang Bhawan in Marsden Park, Sydney on 23rd April 2011.
A mobile van for collecting blood was set up at the
Bhawan from 9am to 3pm, where a total of 42 devotees
enrolled for blood donation. The ARCBS found that they could
not accommodate all the saints as the mobile van had reached
maximum capacity. The remaining saints were requested to
donate blood at ARCBS centre in Parramatta at a later date.
The blood donation camps are becoming more and more
successful as the number of saints donating blood increases.
