Nirankari Mission Celebrates Harmony Day in Melbourne,
Australia

Sant Nirankari Mission (Universal Brotherhood) -
Melbourne again promoted the teachings of the Mission 'Peace
- Not Pieces' and celebrated Harmony Day on 20th March, 2011
at Satsang Bhawan in Rowville, Victoria.
It's a day when all Australians celebrate our cultural
diversity. The day is also the International Day for the
Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Harmony Day is managed
by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) and gives
people the opportunity to celebrate what makes each Australian
unique and share what we have in common. Hon’ble Alan Tudge MP,
Federal Member for Aston supported this great event by
participating in the celebrations wearing Indian attire. SNM
members contributed towards the event in form of Poems, Songs,
Speeches and especially kids who dressed up in different
cultural attires.
Mr Alan shared his thoughts in the congregation appreciating
SNM volunteers for celebrating real cultural diversity and
promoting peace all around. He stressed on the fact that
multicultural aspect is what makes Australia such a great
country and we should cherish this and work together to maintain
it.
A video presentation was also made on the subject.
