With the grace and guidance of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh
Ji, the Sant Nirankari Bhawan in London played host to an
uplifting evening of devotional music on Saturday the 27th
of March 2010.
The whole event had a warm and homely feel to it as
mother (sister Rani Kenth Ji) and daughter (Simran Kaur Ji)
hosted the evening.
Brother Gurpreet Anand Ji from Erith set the tempo with a
meaningful bhajan which signified the qualities of Satguru.
Another thought provoking hymn was shared by brother
Harkrishan Batra Ji in the English language emphasising that
"how can I understand you, I have yet to understand me" such
is the vastness and depth of Satguru.
The London Bal Sangat then shared a bhajan whilst
displaying such commitment and unity to perform even at such
a youthful age.
This was followed by a deep and insightful ghazal by
Brother Raul Kamal Ji and sister Taljit Aurora Ji. Blending
eastern with western influences, the ghazhal was accompanied
by brothers Navtesh Nihal Ji and Sarbjeet Malda Ji on
guitar, brother Harkrishan Batra Ji on saxophone and brother
Sumeet Siddle Ji on the harmonium.
An uplifting group song followed lead by brother Manoj Aapan
Ji which praised and thanked Satguru for bestowing his grace
on all who seek it.
Next there was an instrumental item from brothers
Sudarshan ji (violin) and Jagjit Khambe Ji (tabla). The
sooth sounding blend of classical instruments were
choreographed around Raag Bhoopali.
In the penultimate item, brother Sarbjeet Malda Ji
(guitar) and sister Renuka Jhalli Ji, accompanied by brother
Sandeep Khambe Ji on the dholki, sang a wonderful English
hymn entitled 'Love' which is the very essence of the
Mission.
The extremely gifted yet humble Pushpinder Sidhu Ji was due
to finish the night with two classical bhajans but due to
the repeated request of the gathering this was extended to a
finale of five or six spiritual hymns including an uplifting
qawali.
Respected Professor Dev Raj Ji praised the togetherness of
all the saints, as well as their devotion and love for
Satguru which was the main inspiration for such a blissful
event. Dev Raj Ji prayed for the entire congregation to
remain inspired and to love not only God but God's creation,
namely the whole of humanity.
