On the 15th May 2010 an event entitled Express and Share
was hosted by the West Midlands Branch of the Sant Nirankari
Mission. This was a community led initiative which had been
organised by Brendan Hawthorne a Local Poet and Community
Worker from Wednesbury.
There had been numerous creative projects organised by Mr
Hawthorne during the course of the year and this event was a
point to bring everything together and celebrate in the form
of exhibitions and performances.
The event commenced at 10.00 am and had been advertised
widely in the local press which resulted in people attending
from all over the Borough of Sandwell attending. A number of
stalls had been set up to display arts and crafts,
jewellery, paintings and fabric work. During the course of
the event poets including Surjit Dhami presented their expositions as well as
Sunil Mehta who sang some nice tunes for all present.
It was a wonderful occasion highlighting the teachings of the
Mission, by uniting people through their various interests being
based around the Creative Arts. All visitors were able to learn
about the work of the Mission and were impressed by the message
of His Holiness Nirankari Baba Ji spreading the spirit of
oneness of mankind.
