The Haitian High Commissioner Dr Vilbert Belizaire
together with the Charge d’Affairs Mr Fitzner Gaspard were
so enthralled by the generous donation collected from the
devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission of the UK and Germany
that they invited a representation to their Paris Embassy on
7th July 2010 to personally thank the SNM on behalf of the
Haitian Government.
Dr V. Belizaire was particularly overwhelmed by the fact that
the Mission seeks to help mankind worldwide on natural disasters
such as the earthquake devastation at Port au Prince on 12
January 2010, even though the SNM has no presence in the
territory.
Receiving the cheque, presented by SNM (UK) Executive Member
for Social Welfare, Rev M.S. Bhumbra, the assembled Hatian
Embassy staff listened to MS Bhumbra Ji explaining the universal
message of love and unity that Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj is
actively promoting worldwide through such practical actions of
selfless service to mankind. They were amazed at the Mission’s
uniqueness of embracing all religions, cultures and beliefs
under the single umbrella of humanity which devolves from
securing the knowledge of Formless God through a Spiritually
Realised Teacher or Satguru.
In thanking the other members of the UK Executive, the
sewadal volunteers and the President of the SNM France Mr
Jarnail Bola who had all travelled to the Embassy for the
occasion, the Charge d’Affairs and the High Commissioner
expressed their sincere gratitude not only for the huge sum of
money, but more so for the fact that it had been delivered
personally with such feeling of fraternity for the Haitian
people.
Dr Vilbert Belizaire said this was a historic event as no-one
had ever made the effort before to actually deliver their
donations to the Embassy.
Asking whether Baba Ji had visited Haiti, they earnestly
desired that the Nirankari Mission and its message of God
Realisation be promoted in the South American Continent too as
it was clearly a path to peace. They also requested to be
informed of when His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji
visits Paris or Haiti so that they may also seek His blessings.
