


Once again this year a Christmas get together dinner was
held at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan London UK for the
second consecutive year on 22nd December 2010.
This event was organised by Rev Ravinder Chauhan the ex Mayor
of Slough, Welfare Officer Organising Committee Sant Nirankari
Satsang Bhavan, London U.K.
Among the invited guests from the local community and the
members of the London Bhawan congregation, were the honoured
guests Deputy Mayor of London Richard Barnes and the Deputy
Mayor of Hillingdon Mary O’Connor.
Also Sid Sanoy Homicide & Serious Crime Command, Crime
Division Metropolitan Police Department, Gurbinder Sandhu and
Brod Bewley from the Local Community Police Department.
The young children of the Bal Sangat sang hymns and Christmas
carols welcoming the Deputy Mayors.
In his speech the Deputy Mayor of London said ‘‘I am honoured
to be here once again at Nirankari Bhawan, London. I have been
to many Temples Gurudwaras, Mosques and Churches but when I come
here I feel this to be an extraordinary peaceful place to be at.
I have met Baba Ji many times and it is always a special Honour
to be a part of his organisation. I look forward to Baba ji
coming to the U.K again and meet with him soon. In his closing
speech he said I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and
a Happy New Year and I hope to be among you all again very soon.
Mary O’Connor, Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon said I am delighted
to be among you all here today and I hope I will be invited
again very soon. I will commend the ladies who have prepared
delicious food and I am honoured by the warm welcome you all
gave me. I hope we can all work together and live together as
one community.
There was presentation made to both Mayors and also a cheque
for a charity was handed to the Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon Mary
O’Connor, together with literatures of the Nirankari Mission.
Other guests were also given the literature of the mission.
