Nirankari Mission to Step up Social Welfare Activities
Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Set up

Delhi, May 29, 2010 : In order to step up the Sant Nirankari Mission's activities in the fields of social welfare, health and education etc., a new organization has been set up under the title of 'Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation'.  It was registered on April 12, 2010.

At present, the Foundation has 16 Members designated as 'Desirous Persons'.  Of these, eight Members comprise the Managing Committee of the Foundation.  They include : Rev J.R.D. Arya (President), Rev C.L. Gulati (Secretary), Rev Gurbax Rai (Treasurer), Rev B.M. Singh, Rev Dr. P. Lal, Rev Brig. (Retd) P.S. Cheema, Rev R.S. Kapur and Rev Bindiya Chhabra.

The other eight 'Desirous Persons' are Rev V.D. Nagpal, Rev Gobind Singh, Rev K.R. Chadha, Rev Amrik Singh, Rev Brig. (Retd) Shamsher Singh, Rev Satish Khurana, Rev K.K. Kashyap and Rev Usha Sirohi.

His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj is the Patron of the Foundation.

Addressing the first meeting of the Foundation on May 13, 2010 in Delhi, Baba Ji said that a decision was taken at the Special General Body Meeting of the Sant Nirankari Mandal in Delhi in April 2009 that the Mission should have a separate body - Sant Nirankari Charitable Society, to look after the Mission's activities in the fields of social welfare, health and education etc.  It has, however, been registered as 'Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation'.

His Holiness said that the Mission's contribution in these fields, particularly the donation of blood has been appreciated both at national and international levels. He hoped that while the Foundation will be recognized by the Mission's message of Truth, the Mission will get new dimensions by the global work of the Foundation.  Baba Ji exhorted all the office bearers and Members of the Foundation to work with added zeal.  In turn they expressed their gratitude to Satguru Baba Ji for being entrusted with the services and sought blessings for discharging their responsibilities with full devotion and dedication.
