










With the grace of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji
Maharaj, Sant Nirankari Mission, Australia held its 2nd
Australian Nirankari Sewadal Camp from 12th June to 13th
June, 2010 at Cataract Scout Park - New South Wales.
Although it was the 2nd Camp, it was first of its kind as it
had saints participating from all over Australia including
Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns and
Canberra along with saints from New Zealand.
Saints from Sydney gave a warm welcome to all the saints
reaching the venue on 12th June 2010 followed by
registrations where everyone was allocated location of their
stay along with a folder including their registration pass,
a welcome letter, brief agenda of the camp, map of the
location, member details form, member evaluation form and a
feedback form.
The camp was inaugurated by Rev. Chanbir Chadha Ji
President, Sant Nirankari Mandal Australia along with Rev.
Devinder Rana Ji, overlook Member In charge, Sewadal – SNM
Australia and Rev. Indar Jit Ji, Pramukh, SNM Melbourne. The
camp was also graced by the presence of experienced and
respected saints including Rev. Shashi Grover Ji
(Vice-President, SNM – Australia), Rev. Harbhajan Panchhi Ji
(Executive Member – SNM Australia), Rev. Chacha Ramchand Ji
(Sewadal – Patiala).
Rev. Sunny Duggal Ji (Shanchalak – SNM, Melbourne) and
Rev. Romi Ji (Shanchalak – SNM, Sydney) shared a brief on
achievements of respective Sewadal units over the past two
years at the Welcome congregation which commenced with
Sewadal Prayer under the guidance of Rev. Adarsh Ji (Shikshak
– SNM, Melbourne) and Rev. Navneet Ji (Shikshak – SNM
Sydney). Rev. Prince Ji (Sewdal Incharge – Auckland, New
Zealand) very humbly did seek blessings from the sadh sangat
to reach the bench-marks set by Melbourne and Sydney units
in regard to Sewadal activities. Rev. Ravinder Ji briefly
highlighted the Sewadal activities in Adelaide, which was
added to the existing list of Sewadal units in Australia,
last year. The highlight of the camp was the set up of
Sewadal units in Brisbane to be coordinated by Rev. Gulshan
Ji along with Rev. Manjeet Ji and in Perth to be coordinated
by Rev. Naveen Rahul Ji.
Welcome congregation was concluded by Rev. Chanbir Ji,
who once again extended a warm welcome to all the Sewadal
members and emphasised on the purpose and importance of such
camps. He congratulated everyone for the progression of
Sewadal in Australia from 3 units to 5 units, Brisbane and
Perth being the new units since the last Sewadal camp. He
also highlighted the commencement of sangat in Cairns under
the guidance of Rev. Arunakar Ji. He prayed unto the holy
feet of the true master to bless all of us with strength and
courage to take the activities to a new level following the
path of truth.
Second Day
The beginning of the second day of the Sewadal Camp was
marked by the Physical Training session at 7.00AM under the
guidance of Rev. Harkishan Ji (Ex-Sewadal Sanchalak, Patiala),
Rev. Chacha Ramchand Ji, Rev. Adarsh Ji and Rev. Navneet Ji.
This session touched up on the importance of various P.T.
exercises in keeping Sewadal active and fit, followed by a
complete rehearsal of the Sewadal rally. Rev. Harkishan Ji
also highlighted the importance of discipline and fitness in
the life of a Sewadal member in order to render selfless
service.
All the Sewadal members then gathered at 10.00AM in full
uniform for the Sewadal training session which commenced
with the Sewadal prayer. A quick inspection of the uniforms
was undertaken to ensure everything was up to the mark, as
Sewadal members’ actions and thoughts are a physical
representation of the mission to the world. Rev. Romi Ji and
Rev. Sunny Ji then interactively presented role plays
highlighting the Do’s and Don’ts while performing various
Sewadal duties. This was followed by the group activity
session where more than 20 teams each constituting of six
Sewadal members presented five key points to be considered
while performing various Sewadal duties like setting up of
stage, car park, opening and closing of Bhawan, langar, etc.
This turned out to be a very enlightening and resourceful
session for all. Moreover the key points discussed will be
sent to all the braches in Australia and New Zealand to help
render services better. Rev. Devinder Rana Ji accentuated on
performing sewa in word and spirit. Rev. Chacha Ramchand Ji
then concluded the session encouraging all the Sewadal
members to perform all the duties expressing thankfulness
towards the true master with a smile, to enjoy the absolute
bliss while performing sewa. He also elucidated the history
of Sewadal and importance of such camps.
The final session for the day commenced at 4:00 PM which
included the formal Sewadal Rally, fun activities followed
by a note of thanks from Rev. Devinder Rana Ji who
appreciated all the participants and Sewadal Adhikaris and
the In-charges of Sewadal units and making the Sewadal camp
a success. He stressed that development in Sewadal does not
relate to quantity as an increase in number, but rather
refers to quality i.e. increasing the substance for
performance of services carried out by Sewadal members. Rev.
Chanbir Ji then concluded the camp by congratulating
everyone who was a part of this camp and expressed his
gratitude towards His Holiness for blessing in this form.
It is due to the sheer dedication of the media team and the
blessings of all saints that made it possible for all the
participants to seek blessings from Rev. Amrik Singh Ji, Rev. K
R Chadha Ji and Rev. H L Arora Ji in the form an audio
presentation. Most importantly the camp was blessed by a special
message from His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, in the
form a video presentation congratulating everyone for the
successful completion of the camp and encouraging the need of
such camps for facilitating Sewadal which enables members and
other saints to reflect, improve and refine certain skills and
to blissfully accept all services.
