In his address after the conclusion of the Annual Day Function, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj stated :

“I am feeling very happy to be a part of this function of Sant Nirankari Boys Senior Secondary School, Nirankari Colony; after a long time I got a chance once again to attend it.  A few years' ago I also attended a beautiful function by Girls' school within the same premises.  From time to time I also get a chance to attend similar functions in other public schools and institutions, wherein I see the hard work put in by children and teachers in the cultural items which they present to amuse as well as also give a certain message.  All of us heard the message for love for the country through the 'Qawali' presented.  The function also highlights the achievements of the institution on academic level; such achievements bring glory to an institution.  Along with academic achievements, the disciplinary aspect in teachers as well as students, is equally important.  In order to live a disciplined life we have to practice discipline again and again in our life; we have to give it significance at every step; the more we practice it, the more the aspect of discipline strengthens in our life.

All of us know the significance of education.  Government is constantly making an effort through its many plans for the education of all the people; so that no child remains deprived of education.  A few decades ago there was much difference in the standard of awareness and information of the children living in India and those in Western countries.  But with the reforms in the methods of education and the exposure to media, the children in India are also becoming quite aware and informed now.  The friendly interaction between the teachers and students has a positive psychological effect upon the children and strengthens their confidence level.  Education is a co-operative progress.  Along with the hard effort of teachers to give education, the students too have to work hard to receive education and attain success in their efforts.

Since its beginning in India after partition, the Mission has been making an effort in the field of education.  Besides Delhi, such institutions have also been established in other States.  The Mission also runs adult education centres and single teacher schools in remote areas; it also plans to further increase its effort and contribution in the field of education and social activities.

This building where you are sitting runs a Boys' as well as Girls' school.  An effort is made from time to time to strengthen its infrastructure.  Students presented a beautiful programme today.  It is also hoped that the students will earn more success.  Parents have much hope from children.  They work hard to give their children maximum education, academic as well as moral.  The company and the environment which the children keep moulds their thoughts and way of living.  Since the Mission is based upon spirituality, the schools runs by the Mission also highlight the significance of soul and Over-soul or soul and God in life, making the mind beautiful, respecting the elders, living with the feelings of love, brotherhood, humility and other such virtues which are extremely significant to make life beautiful.  Such are the feelings and teachings being inculcated in the children here; so that their parents feel proud of them and they also give beauty to the society with their beautiful life.

May God formless bless so that they make an achievement in every field i.e. academic as well as sports.  As all of you heard, students from this school also participate in the January 26 Parade, these students would also represent their school in the forthcoming Common Wealth Games.

May God bless so that the school continues to progress and receives co-operation from all i.e. parents as well as management.  The Member-Incharge and members of management are making every effort to make the school progress more and more.  The co-operation of the officials of Education Department, a few of whom are present here, also helps the school to progress.  So the progress of the school is co-operative process; progress cannot be made by strengthening one aspect while receiving no co-operation from other sides.  An all-round co-operation and dedication is a must for an all-round development.  I am very happy to see the co-operative effort of all for the progress of the school.  May God bless and give all more and more success in their efforts.  May the institution progress more and more and help in producing a beautiful product in the form of future citizens of the country.  May the students of the school aptly fulfill their varied responsibilities when they enter their youth; whether in business or service or in any other form, they should always live their life as a good human being and also serve the country.

Even though the students got a very short notice yet they have presented a very good programme.  This is itself is a proof of their immense talent.  According to an English adage, 'Children are not to be just moulded, they have also to be unfolded’, the talent of the children needs to be encouraged, moulded as well as unfolded.  For this an effort is needed from both the sides.  May God bless so that the students continue moving forwarded in their progress. I congratulate once again the Member Incharge, Management, teaching staff, students, parents, guardians and all the departments.”
