A blood donation camp was organized in Rehana Jattan, district Kapurthala in Punjab on July 18, 2010, where 185 devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission donated their blood.  They included 47 lady saints.  The blood collecting teams came from Civil Hospital Phagwada and Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur, Blood Bank Phagwada and Bhai Kanhiya Charitable Blood Bank, Hoshiarpur.

The camp was inaugurated by Rev H.S. Chawla, Zonal Incharge Ludhiana.  Addressing the donors, he said that His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj says that blood should flow in veins and not in drains.  No wonder, inspired by these words, devotees have assembled a large number to donate their blood.

Rev H.S. Chawla that the requirement of blood for human body can be met by human being only.  There is no other source to meet this requirement. He said that each healthy person must, therefore, donate his or her blood at least once a year.  We can celebrate our birthday with this noble gesture.
