With the festive season in full flow, many people miss
out on the festive cheer and goodwill towards all mankind.
Promoting the Nirankari Mission’s philosophy of Universal
Brotherhood, of love and understanding amongst communities
across the world, irrespective of caste, colour or creed,
that is helping to build bridges, the Nirankari saints from
Yorkshire joined in to celebrate the joyous occasion of
Christmas, remembering the birth of Lord Jesus Christ and
his teachings.
On a snowy, cold Tuesday, the 22nd December 2009, with
the blessings of His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji
Maharaj, Yorkshire Nirankari volunteers presented Christmas
hampers to the local branch of The Salvation Army and Mill
Lodge Care Home (for the elderly with physical frailty and
physical disability). Local Saints donated open heartily in
the form of money, food and other festive items.
Under the guidance of local Committee members, Christmas
hampers were put together by local volunteers. A delegation
from Yorkshire Nirankari Bhawan including the Parmukh, Rev.
Jawahar Singh Ji, along with local Committee members and
other volunteers, went to present Christmas hampers.
Both, the management and staff warmly welcomed the
delegation and graciously accepted the Christmas hampers.
They were very pleased and delighted to learn of the
Nirankari Mission's activities in promoting Love, Peace and
Unity. They pledged their support and co-operation and
trusted this to be the start of long and successful
collaborations in serving the community.
