BECOMING ONE

- Inderjit Sidhu

One needs to seek the one who knows the one. How, who and what are the characteristics of the Enlightened one who knows the one?

Upon knowing the one who knows the one and seeking from them this knowledge of God, one becomes aware, that they are in fact part and parcel of this creator and he is closer to them than their very pulse.  It is then that one need to become this one is known by many names – creator, non-matter, almighty, generator, organizer and destroyer.  Call him what you like, for this is not the issue.  The issue is being more what one is like – in other words, growing in the likeness of one’s real self.

Upon receiving this knowledge one should realise that their true essence is not of a material composition but is in fact that which is without form, colour, taste, sound or smell.  In this knowledge one discovers the five elements of which this body is made – fire, water, earth, sound, wind and that from their composition the give senses come forth – sight, sound, taste, touch, smell.  It is this entity that is affected by the five senses but by gaining this awareness the soul begins to control them and one’s environment.

By concentrating one’s mind on this formless God, one realizes that the mind, the source from which all thoughts emanate, would become filled with this formless.  And the thoughts that take place will be the ones that the soul will carry out in action and according to this Formless.  Thus the non-matter becomes the matter.  By concentrating the mind on Nirankar one becomes more educated as to how this creator works.  What I mean by this, is that when carrying out any act one will start to understand the outcome of that action.

This is so because Nirankar is a living and everlasting entity which controls that which is perceived by the human eye and that which is not.  And it is Nirankar through circumstances and result who explains his creations.  The more one indulges into this supreme, the more one will act without the desire of reward.  The key point here is to surrender the mind, which in turn will assist in surrendering one’s body and then the material assets that are gained by the combined efforts of the previous two, to Nirankar.  This comes about automatically when one becomes totally submerged like a sugar cube stirred in water.

So how does one surrender to the creator?  This is done by the blessings and mercy of the creator himself.  The human being is so fortunate that God had done, has, and will in the future take up the human form so as to communicate to the soul within man.  He will guide it in higher modes of living while being in him.  This is only possible through the blessing of the True Master through whom one will be able to live in such a way that they are able to live, yet are able elevate themselves above the material surroundings.  It is only the human being who has being given this awareness capability – no other creation has this gift.

As one submerges within this Nirankar their action will become Nirankar and this is known as becoming this one after knowing it from the true one.
