Hand to hold on to …

- Sudiksha Singh

Two children were playing on a beach in the sand and were building a sand castle by the ocean bed.  They had nearly completed their construction when a big wave came and knocked the castle down reducing it to a heap of wet sand.

Surprisingly, the children along the seashore ran away from water laughing and holding hands!  They then started to build another castle.  One would expert them to express sadness at their loss and perhaps be tearful because of what they had experienced.  But this did not happen.

This tale teaches us an important lesson in life.  One day, a big wave will come and knock down what we have worked so hard to gather and build in our lives.  Our material possessions, family, worldly status and so on.

When this happens only those people who have someone’s hand to hold will be able to laugh and run on through the apparent loss.  Let us make Nirankar the hand to hold on to so that we may continue to feel bliss throughout time, both here and hereafter.
