Universal Brotherhood – What It Means To Me

Love is a necessity of life, and the most fundamental teaching of religion. However, in a world where supposedly, ‘Love is God’, does it not seem ironic that so much conflict is aroused in the name of religion?

The unfortunate reality is that we live in a world troubled by pain and suffering. A world plagued by the forces of ego and greed, in which man relentlessly fights with fellow beings to satisfy selfish needs.

In a world divided by man-made barriers of colour, caste, and creed, we are inherently limiting the freedom to share our pleasures and joys with fellow companions. Constrained within such walls, we have simply become prisoners of our own ignorance. So it seems, that mankind has forgotten the essence of love.

Today, the Sant Nirankari Mission (Universal Brotherhood), under the benign guidance of His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji, seeks to remove the barriers of indifference created by man. This is not a new religion, but a spiritual movement, and a genuine effort to unite mankind for the good of humanity. For indeed:

"True religion units, never divides" (His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Ji)

Enlightened beings realise the value of human life and recognize the presence of formless God, ‘Nirankar’, in every individual. Through such enlightenment, material, social, and religious division melt away, and fellow feeling. Satguru Baba Ji does not seek to remove individuality, rather it is hoped that there can be unity in diversity. This dream is already turning into reality, as devotees throughout the whrld are living together in peace and harmony. With such efforts, Surely there is hope for all mankind to enjoy the peace and joy that this world deserves.
