How does a cursikh live his life?

A glass is half filed with water. A Sage questions a layman as to how much water is in the glass. The man answers: “half empty”, however the wise man looks at it in a different way, and says that the glass is “half filled with water”. A devotee always looks at every object or situation with a positive approach, whereas others are prone to be materialistically inclined. In other words, when we become too attached to the world around us we often look at things with a more selfish and pessimistic vision. But saints remind us of what is really important in life.

How important is God to us? Baba Ji has given us the answer in a simple quote: ‘God is to man, what the Ocean is to a fish.’ But with a difference… no doubt the ocean and water is everything to the fish, it’s very life source – it just cannot live without it – but the fish cannot realise this truth whilst living inside the water. It realises the importance of water and the ocean only when it is taken out of it. It struggles to go back and dies within moments if it fails to do so. The position of a human being is slightly different. No doubt a human does (like a fish) stay in this ocean of God who is our life force, he or she need not be taken out in order to realise this truth. All we need is to have an open and clear mind to accept the truth for what it really is.

Saints a human being can realise the presence of God and his or her own relationship with the Almighty during their lifetimes; So saints all I ask is for you blessings that I always remember this Nirankar and always stay in your feet and do seva, Simran and Satsang.
