TRUTH IS ALWAYS SIMPLE
It
seems that we often have a habit of making things difficult for ourselves, and life in
general is no exception to that rule. And when it comes to the issue of truth, it appears
that man has twisted and turned it into a knot, which he now finds difficult to undo. In
fact, he has made the truth so convoluted that he can now barely recognize it himself,
even when it stares him right in the face.
His
Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji one explained in an interview that Truth is
always simple. It thus follows that a simple mind is needed to understand the truth.
By simple we do not mean an individual that lacks though or ambition. On the contrary, by
simple we mean one that is free from the chains of selfish desire and narrow mindedness.
One that does not need to pollute the simple reality with its material conflicts and
vendettas. It is a mind that enquirers, experiences, and finally accepts the truth for
what it really is. This is something that the great philosophers have aspired to do, but
whether they have been successful is open to discussion.
What
is evident however is that Baba Jis simple message of Universal Brotherhood through
spiritual realization is being experienced and applied throughout the world. Moreover, it
is flourishing in both young and old alike, which is no surprise since truth does not
discriminate on any grounds. Truth just is, and those who grasp it have the privilege of
becoming its ambassadors. For the last few years now there has been greater emphasis on
the younger devotees to come forth to propagate the Masters teaching, and there has
been phenomenal progress in the first few months of this New Year. With the blessing of
Satguru; the experience, guidance, and support of the older devotees; and the energy of
the youth, there has been a rejuvenation of spirit. In the last month alone there have
been several new developments namely: the first youth congregation (Bal Sangat) in
Leicester and the beginning of English medium Satsangs in Erith Kent.
English
Medium Satsangs across other areas, especially in Birmingham and Ilford have also
experienced resurgence in the wake of Satguru Baba Jis inspirational New Years
message. It is clearly evident that the work of the Almighty will continue irrespective of
our input. The rain will always merge with the ocean eventually, although the path it
takes may very upon the obstacles in its way. The question we must ask ourselves is do we
want to be a part of it?
The
time is approaching when Satguru and his teaching is becoming the uniting force in every
home. Now is the opportunity to make ourselves a part of the great vision that is fast
becoming reality. Let move forward with Nirankars grace and share in the happiness.
