The African in the Restaurant! Discrimination!

Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of Radio Ruhaniyat, in which we are talking about discrimination.

In the Sant Nirankari Mission, there are five principles that we all follow; one of them being that we should not discriminate against anyone, on the basis of religion, nation, color or background. Everyone was created equal and we all are children of the same one God.

Very often, when we commit wrong towards others, it comes back to haunt us. In the end we suffer more than how much we had harmed others.

An American man walked into a restaurant in London. As soon as he entered, he noticed an African man sitting in the corner. So he walked over to the counter, removed his wallet and shouted, "Waiter! I am buying food for everyone in this restaurant, except that black African guy over there!"
So the waiter collected the money from the man and began serving free food to everyone in the
Restaurant; except the African.
However, instead of becoming upset, the African simply looked up at the American and shouted, "Thank you!" That infuriated the man.
So once again, the American took out his wallet and shouted, "Waiter! This time I am buying drinks and additional food for everyone, except for that African sitting in the corner over there!" So the waiter collected the money from the man and began serving more free food and drinks to everyone in the reataurant except the African.
When the waiter finished serving the food and drinks, once again, instead of becoming angry, the African simply smiled at the American man and shouted, "Thank you!"
That made the American man furious. So he leaned over on the counter and said to the waiter, "What is wrong with that African man? I have bought food and drinks for everyone in this restaurant except him, but instead of becoming angry, he just sits there and smiles at me and shouts 'Thank you.' Is he mad???"
The waiter smiled at the American and said, "No, he is not mad. He is the owner of this restaurant”.

When we intent to harm others, we usually end up harming ourselves the most. When we think ill about others, we end up creating criticism for our own selves. Those who dig a pit for others, will fall in it first.

When we find fault with others, unknowingly, we are criticizing God’s creation. We are making a determination that something that God created, is not perfect, or lacks something. Nothing that God ever makes or does, is imperfect or incomplete. God’s moves are always very well calculated and planned. God never-ever makes a mistake. Most often we understand much later that whatever happened was a blessing in disguise.

Wish everyone well and you will soon realize that even those who don’t seem to care for you, will work unknowingly in your favor. Stay away from Anger..It hurts ..Only You!

If you are right then there is no need to get angry, and if you are wrong then you don't have any right to get angry.
When we go to a hospital to meet someone who is sick, we do not hate them just because their body is sick, instead we pray for them so that their bodies get healthy soon. In the same way, those who discriminate or hate are also sick in their minds. Pray for them so that their minds get healthy soon.

And always remember:
Patience with family is love,
Patience with others is respect.
Patience with self is confidence and
Patience with God is faith.

-Until next time, this is Preet Sahi reminding you to Stay Spiritual!
